TIME TO KILL POSTERS
Advertising to the public to join the Providence mob, these are a manifestation of the mob’s duality between its secrecy and its visibility. The posters require deciphering to reveal the hidden messages, and once understood highlight the absurdity of the premise of the posters. Originally, these posters started from postcard collages made with images taken in my local bookstore, then by introducing type, and eventually molding them into the final full-size posters by mixing the original collaged pictures with images relating to the Patriarca family, Providence’s famed crime family.

Dimensions: 70 x 100 cm.
